La Maison Vaslin | The main house which adjoins the three gites, La Maison Vaslin is a very spacious property. Excellent for entertaining, it features a large kitchen/diner and a lovely lounge. A wood burning stove makes the property as appealing in the cooler winter months as it is in the summer and large French doors that lead out from both the kitchen and the lounge allow the summer sun to flood in. Upstairs are three large bedrooms - two king rooms, one with en-suite, and one twin room, as well as a main bathroom. An interconnecting door can be opened from the kitchen leading into the first of the adjoining gites, L'Ecurie. L'Ecurie | This gite benefits from having access from both sides of the property. It features a good sized kitchen/diner; large double bedroom and separate lounge area with a sofa bed for an additional two guests. Doors from the lounge open out onto the garden. From the lounge, an interconnecting door can be opened up into La Maison Vaslin. La Vieille Maison | Literally translated as being 'the old house', this original two-room farm dwelling retains many features such as the stone fireplace, bread oven and exposed beams. The south-facing door opens onto the garden with a large lawn surrounded by shady areas of trees, shrubs and flowerbeds, and bordered to the front by a tuffeau wall and the old farm outbuildings. Le Grenier | This light and spacious upstairs gite has been carefully converted to retain many original features. The French windows in the kitchen open onto a small balcony, built above the old stone bread oven, giving lovely views to south and east over the surrounding countryside. Steps lead down to a private garden area, bordered by lavender and grapevines. |
